Howeve...I love it the way it is, without a border. However, another possibility would be to consider adding a narrow border (maybe 2" wide or even a little narrower) of the background fabric (This would "float" the whole thing just a tiny bit.) Then I would make scrappy binding with all of the wonderful bright fabrics from the quilt. I don't think I would add a border of a "darker" or colored fabric. I love how the blocks look as if the pieces are "exploding" out--very exuberant, if you will--and if you put something darker around them, it will look like you are "corralling" the pieces--in effect curtailing the energy that you've worked so hard to produce. Of course, all of that is my opinion and it will be fun to see what you decide this morning.
