Happy 4th of July everyone.......Hope everyone has a happy and safe day.
Here at the Aront house we're just laying low and barbecueing at the house with the family.
I have some hand sewing lined up and yes, as usual I have some laundry too... What's everyone doing today?

I'm just hanging out too. Had our family BBQ last night at my daughter's home . watched fireworks & fireflies from her backyard.

I'm also looking for some down time on this holiday weekend. Being the 4th, 5th (my b'day -- don't ask) and 6th (our anniv. -- another don't ask) I need it. Hopefully I'll have something to show soon from some time spent with just me, myself and I in my sewing room. Stampin' Quilter Barb mentioned somewhere what kind of project she and I are doing together now -- another scenic, but applique this time.
Happy Independence Day, Peg! I'm here by my lonesome today! Hubby is working, and it's raining, so I don't think I will try to venture outside! Hopefully, the rain will clear before the 10:00 pm fireworks display in town!!

We spent an enjoyable VERY early part of the day (from 5:30 until noon) volunteering at our church's 43rd annual fine art show held on the 1st Saturday of July each year. We ended the day by sitting with a gang of friends on the pontoon boat one of them has...stayed tied to the dock (too many drunks out on the bay) and watched fireworks from the boat.
