I was going to wait until tomorrow and post the picture of today's star block and then a shot of all 5 but I decided I needed to do it tonight......The block seen here is by John Kubiniec of Big Rig Quilting, a new to me blog. John's block is paper pieced and he used a few more colors in his than I did but I chose to just use 5 fabrics, and I LOVE how it looks!

Your blocks are looking great! These look a bit advanced for me, so I haven't even thought about trying them. I am looking forward to the 2014 Mystery Quilt offered at Fat Quarter Shop though! ;-)
I like the look of only five colors, am thinking more might make it a bit busy. Don't you love the exactness of paper piecing?!
