Bonnie Hunter is doing a holiday linky party to show off some of our favorite holiday quilts.
I didn't think I had a lot but as I scrolled thru pictures I realized that I have more than I thought. Here are just a few of my favorites.
The first one, and I think I'll say this is my favorite, is my elf embroidery wall hanging quilt. I spent one summer doing the embroidery and then I made the star blocks and other units once I finished. I used a variegated green thread for the elves, which I think looks awesome. It used to hang in my front hallway but then I made the "Warm Winter Blessings" snowmen quilt so this one is now hanging in my living room, which I love because I can see it every night when we sit to watch tv.
(sorry for the blurry picture)
This is the Warm Winter Blessings quilt and one of the cute blocks.
Next is "Snow Days" by Crabapple Hill. This one hangs in the upstairs hallway all year long. I love the mixture of the embroidery and traditional blocks.
This December Snowman was part of a year long sew along that I did. I made a block each month and mailed them to my mother. She loved them and changes them out monthly.
Next is a Twister done in reds and whites. It's a perfect fit for my coffee table and my HUGE Jim Shore sled.
This last quilt is one I assembled this December in a Sew Along on Instagram. Lori Holt designed the blocks and offered all the patterns on her page. I didn't get around to quilting it this year but I will have it ready for 2015.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
