Week 1 went really fast but I was ready for the next clue........
I'm using my black on white text prints and some other dots, checks, etc. as my neutral and then the black and pinks like Bonnie is.
I spent what time I had on Saturday to cut the fabric out, then over 2 nights while watching TV I drew lines on 400 2-1/2 inch squares.......
Yesterday, in between laundry and putting up the Christmas Tree I was able to sew the 200 pink squares onto the neutral strips
Here they are all standing at attention in a nice little line waiting for some black alternating corners.
They're all pressed but still need to have their bonus HST's cut off......
In true Peggy fashion, I had to make 2 blocks and trim them "just to see how they looked".....
I really love the look of them and I can't wait to see what we're making with them.
As I said last week, I'm not attempting to figure out what they'll be, I'll just wait for the clues and go along.
Now, what do you do with your bonus triangles?
Do you press and trim them to 1-1/2 inch squares and use them in something else or do you just (gasp inserted here) throw them away???????
I'm saving mine for now but who knows where they'll end up.....
I can start sewing the black corners on tonight since I am done with my Lori Holt "Have Yourself A Quilty Little Christmas" sew along....
I'll be back with pictures of that next time when I have the borders on and can get daylight pictures.
For now, it's time to tie some stuff down....apparently we're getting a Nor'Easter here at the Jersey Shore. Time to batten down the hatches and all that good stuff.

Love the variety in your fabrics!
I find if the bonus triangles are sewn and pressed it is much faster to use them later. I wasn't going to do bonus ones but just saw a cute idea for them on another blog, sew off I go to cut and mark squares
I always make a couple of blocks first too "just to see what they'll look like". My little off cut triangles I usually put in a bag of scraps that I donate to the preschool. They love them, sticking them all over the things they create out of boxes and timber off cuts.
